What can I get to eat and drink at Walsall Illuminations

There is a range of refreshments available at Walsall Illuminations including fish and chips, burgers, jacket potatoes, vegetarian options, doughnuts, confectionery and hot and cold drinks.

Is Walsall Illuminations accessible to visitors with disabilities?

Yes. Walsall Illuminations is fully wheelchair accessible. The route is flat, with disabled toilets at 3 sites around the park. We also have a designated car park for people with disabilities which is very close to the illuminations. If you have further queries, please see the Access Information section.

How do I get to Walsall Illuminations?

By car, Walsall Illuminations is fully AA sign posted. It is also possible to get to the lights by public transport (train and bus). We suggest you contact Network West Midlands for further information. Please refer to the Getting Here section for more detail.

How should I dress for Walsall Illuminations?

Please dress appropriately bearing in mind Walsall Illuminations takes place in the evening and is outdoors.Check the weather forecast for up to date information.

What is the surface like?

The route around Walsall Illuminations is tarmac pathways therefore, there are no soft or muddy conditions. The grassed area used on busy nights for car parking at the Park and Ride may be wet and slightly muddy if the weather has been bad so please wear sensible footwear.

Is there a discount for group bookings?

How do I book tickets?

It is possible to pay on the night; however, it may be cheaper and easier to buy tickets in advance. Advance tickets can be bought via the website, via the box office, or from your local ticket outlet - a list of which can be found on Plan Your Visit - Ticket Outlets section. NB: Buying advance tickets may save you money.

Do I need to pay for parking?

We operate a Park and Ride car park which is recommended. Parking on this is free; you will, however, need to purchase a return ticket to use on the bus. Alternatively, there are car parks located around the town.

Do you have cash machines on site?

No. The nearest cash points are outside the Illuminations at Morrisons superstore, and at Barclays Bank on Lichfield Street. Please see the town centre map on Plan Your Visit for further details.

Can I use credit cards at Walsall Illuminations? If so, what cards are accepted?

No, we do not accept credit cards for payment on site. It is, however, possible to buy advance tickets by credit card from the box office or online.

Is there queuing involved?

Friday and Saturday nights are busier than the rest of the week, and some queuing can be involved. The best way to reduce queuing time is to buy your tickets in advance enabling you to go through the separate advance ticket gate.

Where are the toilets?

There are plenty of toilets at Walsall Illuminations. They can be seen on the Site Plan section.

Are there baby changing facilities on site?

We have limited baby care facilities on site.

Is there a meeting point for lost children?

Yes. The meeting point is at the Event Management Office which can be found on the map located in the Site Plan section.

What first aid facilities do you have?

St John Ambulance personnel are in attendance every night and offer a full range of first aid facilities across the site.

What happens if I lose an item of property at Walsall Illuminations?

Can I drive around the Illuminations?

No - Walsall Illuminations is set in a park. No vehicles are permitted on the park grounds, providing a traffic free event.
